Our Mission
The Vincent Pezzella Scholarship aims to fund creative and performing arts throughout Fairfield County as a way of honoring the legacy of the late Vincent J. Pezzella. As funding for the arts grows more difficult to procure, we hope to provide a springboard for artistic passion among young people so Vinny’s memory can endure.
Vinny’s fascination with music began at the age of 8 when he joined a local childrens’ band camp, where he quickly fell in love with the drums. Suitably, helping young musicians seemed like the perfect purpose for this organization. In the wake of his passing, the Pezzella Family established a scholarship for Trumbull High School students planning to pursue a career in the performing arts.
Since then, the scholarship has grown significantly and now helps aspiring musicians and artists across Fairfield County pursue their dreams. From sponsoring students in local ensembles to purchasing instruments for underprivileged districts, the Vincent Pezzella Scholarship is committed to honoring Vinny’s memory by consistently providing new, meaningful opportunities for youth education in the arts.
